Hometown: Kabul, Afghanistan
Why I chose MAPS: Ms. Rubin encouraged me to join her group and I wanted to work with her. When I realized that MAPS would give me the opportunity to help people in need around the world, I was eager to become a part of helping change the world in a positive way.
Best thing about MAPS: MAPS is bringing changes in people’s lives around the globe, and micro-lending is a great way to do it. We are helping women to become financially independent. We are making a difference.
What I am working on currently: I am currently working on making profiles of MAPS members for our website.
Future Plans: I want to help educate women and children. I believe education is the key to success and it will help them become aware of their rights. By establishing an organization that can help them with their problems and obstacles, I want the women to find their voices and to become financially independent.
