This week, our 31st micro-loan went to Hiyam from Lebanon. She is a 56-year-old Lebanese widowed woman living with her only working child and two of her relatives. She cooperates with her daughter in order to fulfill their family needs. In 2000, she started her own homemade food business. She makes delicious and delightful food, and also delivers her products to the neighboring villages upon requests. Today, Hiyam has the intention to take a loan from Kiva partner Ameen S.A.L. to purchase a new refrigerator for her business, where she can keep her food in good conditions. In the future, she plans to open her own restaurant.
